I just this device for casual browsing whilst watching TV and its fantastic. It boots more quickly then my 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo laptop I use for work and has more than enough power for listening to music and watching video. Connected first time to my Belkin wireless N router and generally runs at 150 MBits. Generally, get about 5 hours battery life whilst connected wirelessly. My one minor complaint is that the keys on the touchpad are quite small and hard to click.
Excellent

Not much to say really - the other reviews cover the main points. Excellent value, does exactly what it says on the tin. You are obviously not getting a mega-netbook at this price, but it's a top quality product.

This arrived in good time and was well packaged. After using it for some time i get about 5/5.5 hrs battery life, i cant find any faults with this at all. The screen size is good, the keyboard is well layed out(although im not a touch typist) the sound is good (for my ears anyway) the wifi is very good (it can pick up a lot of ap's i didnt even know were there). Overall i am very happy with my purchase.

I'd never heard of Asus till I read the other reviews but having just got rid of a well known (Toshiba) laptop which had bug ridden software and faulty electrics what could I lose by trying an unknown quantity.
What a good decision I am absolutely delighted with the performance of this piece of kit. Especially good is the battery life which is as good as advertised.
I use mine for e-mail/internet access when travelling and while watching tv in the evening. Battery life is so reliable that it also gets moved for usage in other rooms where in the past a trip to the desktop would have been preferred.
